SAVE THE BRAVE'S MCNAMARA & QUIBELL: MEN OF DISTINCTION

FEALGOOD FOUNDATION HIGHLIGHTS NEED FOR URGENT ATTENTION

THANK LEGISLATORS AT 9/11 HOUSE SUBCOMMITTEE HEARING

New York City-August 6, 2008-- SAVE THE BRAVE, a documentary highlighting the plight of Responders who served at Ground Zero and are facing life threatening illnesses and death, shot footage for the documentary in Washington last week as Congress prepared to go on recess. Greg Quibell and John McNamara, featured in SAVE THE BRAVE are both facing defining moments in life as they inspiringly exhibit character, strength and dignity beyond human expectation. With family and friends nearby they exude hope with little or no regard for the situation they face.

Charlie Giles, a Fealgood Foundation operative and principal in SAVE THE BRAVE attended the House subcommitte hearing on the 911 Health and Compensation Act of 2008. Giles, on behalf of Fealgood Foundation head John Feal,  thanked Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, Congressmen Peter King and Jerrold Nadler following their testimony urging quick passage of the Bill.

Charlie Giles comments, "Greg Quibell and John McNamara are in the hospital fighting to live while I'm on Capitol Hill watching the process that will help others live, it felt good to see us get closer to passage on this important piece of legislation.  It was an honor to sit with Congressmen Tim Bishop and Jerrold Nadler as well as Congresswoman Diane Watson of California as they all voiced their strong 911 Bill support in interviews, which will appear in the SAVE THE BRAVE documentary".

The Fealgood Foundation is producing SAVE THE BRAVE to call attention to what has happened to Responders who served at Ground Zero and what they need to maintain their health and their family's future. The documentary is being produced by 911 chaplain, Rev. Bill Minson. SAVE THE BRAVE associate producer Alan Tannenbaum's pictures have been seen worldwide. Living only six blocks from Ground Zero Tannenbaum grabbed his camera and was immersed in the toxic cloud at Ground Zero; many of his archived photos will be seen in the documentary.

Responders throughout the country who served at Ground Zero are voicing their thanks and support to the Fealgood Foundation for continuing to keep the plight of 911 Responders in the public eye and urging support for this legislation.

Anne Marie Baumen, Fealgood Senior VP comments, " You know, when we're wondering if Greg Quibell is going to be sent home today, then another Responder calls because they can't afford their medication or a mortgage payment is due and there's no money, your heart breaks hour after hour but we will never let them be alone.  The Fealgood Foundation expresses sincere thanks to our outstanding New York Congressional delegation for their leadership in bringing us close to passage of H.R. 6594", concludes Responder wife, mother and advocate Anne Marie".
